Go Ahead Blame the Diet Plan—Don’t be Afraid

Posted on August 26th, 2007.

We’ve all tried one or more diet plans. With some plans offering themselves as a healthy alternative to the usual processed diet plan and others claiming to get results fast, the question we must be asking ourselves is not “which plan is right for me?” but rather “why are these plans not getting me results?”

It’s normal to blame one’s self for not succeeding when trying to stick to a particular diet plan, but the dieter should be cautious of self criticism before continuing with their quest to lose the pounds. Too much self criticism can lead a dieter to give up completely and even reverse the gains already achieved.

I would like to point out that instead of placing the blame on ourselves let’s start pointing fingers at the diet plan we are trying to follow. Most diet plans that promote weight loss make claims that are unrealistic along with a time table that I not possible. These things can cause someone to give up easily. I have found throughout all the diet plans that I have tried (and I have tried many) I only recently began to see success. With whom? Well you might be surprised since most diet plans on the market today profess to employ all the latest technology and research, but I found my success with Nutrisystems, one of the oldest weight loss companies around. They offer a variety of weight loss plans specially tailored to the individual and it’s this personal treatment that I have found most helpful.

I’ll stay away from making any outrageous claims about my favorite weight loss diet plan, but I want to say that there is hope out on the market we just have to be willing to stop blaming ourselves.
